By using the Divya Jyot website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website. The mobile app has its own terms, which apply to your use of the app.
2. What the website provides
The website provides free Vedic astrology tools — Kundali, Panchang, Muhurat and the Cosmic Score — that anyone can use without an account, sign-in for existing Divya Jyot app users and approved Pandits, and an application form for Pandits who wish to join.
User accounts are created in the mobile app. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn as the service develops.
3. How results are produced
Results are calculated by Divya Jyot’s own astronomical calculation engine and fixed rule sets. They are not written individually for you by a person, and they are not produced by an AI system or an external astrology service.
4. Nature of the content
Astrological results and interpretations are provided for personal interest, reflection and general guidance. Astrology is a traditional system, not a proven science, and no result is a guarantee of any outcome.
Nothing on the website is medical, psychological, financial, investment, legal or other professional advice. Please consult a qualified professional before making decisions in those areas. Decisions you take after reading the website’s content remain your own.
5. Information you enter
Results depend entirely on the details you enter; incorrect birth details produce incorrect results. Please enter another person’s details only if they are happy for you to do so.
6. Accounts
Keep your sign-in details to yourself and use only your own account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at the address below if you think someone else has used it.
7. Pandit applications
Information in a Pandit application must be true and your own. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval; every application is reviewed, and approval is at Divya Jyot’s discretion. An application does not by itself create any employment, agency or partnership relationship.
8. Acceptable use
Please do not use the website unlawfully; interfere with its security or operation; attempt to access accounts or areas you are not authorised to use; collect data from it by automated means; impersonate anyone; or submit false information.
9. Intellectual property
The website’s design, text, graphics, software and the Divya Jyot name and marks belong to Divya Jyot or its licensors. You may use the website for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Place data is derived from GeoNames and used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.
10. Third-party services
The website relies on third-party services, including Supabase for sign-in and data and a hosting provider to serve the website. Their availability is outside our full control.
11. Payments
The website does not sell anything. Paid features are offered in the mobile app, where prices are shown before you pay and payments are processed by Razorpay. Refund and cancellation terms will be set out in the reviewed version of these terms; until then, please contact us about any payment question.
12. Availability
We aim to keep the website available and accurate, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Divya Jyot is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from decisions made on the basis of the website’s content. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
14. Your responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for, and to compensate Divya Jyot for, loss caused by your misuse of the website or your breach of these terms.
15. Suspension
We may restrict or suspend access to the website, or to an account, where it is misused or these terms are breached.
16. Governing law
The governing law and dispute-resolution terms will be stated in the reviewed version of these terms.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the website changes. The date at the top shows when they were last revised. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
